GOD THE FATHER
The Old Testament specifically reveals God the Father.
Since
the beginning of time men have wanted to know more about
God and His appearance.
Isaiah
the Prophet had a vision of God the Father upon His
throne.
Isaiah
6:1
"In
the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the LORD sitting
upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled
the temple."
Other
scriptures also describe God upon His Throne.
Revelation
4, Ezekiel 1:5-21 and Ezekiel 10:1.
Above
Gods throne is an emerald colored rainbow. In front
of His throne are the seven Lamps of fire or the seven
Spirits of God and a crystal sea like glass. Around
His throne are Seraphim's and Cherubim's that worship
Him night and day.
The
following verses of the Bible reveal His greatness and
magnificence:
Deuteronomy
33:26
"There
is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon
the heaven ...in his excellence on the sky."
Deuteronomy
3:24
"O
Lord GOD, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness,
and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven
or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and
according to thy might?"
Psalm
104:1-2
"O
LORD my God, thou art very great; thou art clothed with
honour and majesty.
Who
coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest
out the heavens like a curtain:
Psalm
145:3
"Great
is the LORD ... and his greatness is unsearchable."
Psalm
115:3
"But
our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he
hath pleased."
Luke
1:37
"For
with God nothing shall be impossible."
Genesis
18:14
"Is
any thing too hard for the LORD?"
Isaiah
40:12-22
"Who
hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended
the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the
mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
Behold,
the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted
as the small dust of the balance:
All
nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted
to him less than nothing, and vanity.
To
whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye
compare unto him.
It
is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and
the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth
out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out
as a tent to dwell in:"
There
are twelve aspects of God the Father:

of the LORD is full of
majesty."

aspect of God, His entire being, His voice and clothes
are full of majesty."

Heaven is His throne, the earth is His footstool and
He measures the universe with the span of His hand."

goings."

The
Name "God the Father" is very special.
It
reveals the very essence of His relationship with us,
namely.
This Fatherly relationship impacts our life in three
ways:
1.
God has received us as children that we can call Him
our heavenly Father.
John
1:12
"But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become
the sons of God."
2
Corinthians 6:18
"And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters,
saith the Lord Almighty."
2.
Jesus said that we may pray to God our Father-
Matthew
6:9
" After this manner therefore pray
ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy
name."
3.
God loves us and cares for all our needs.
Matthew
7:11, 6:26
"How much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things
to them that ask him?"
Behold
the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they
reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father
feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"
God
the Father knows us intimately and thinks about us.
Psalm 139:1-17
"O Lord, You
have looked through me and have known me.
2You know when I sit down and when I get up.
You understand my thoughts from far away. 3You look over my path and my lying down.
You know all my ways very well.
4Even before I speak a word, O Lord, You know
it all.
For You made the parts inside me. You put me together
inside my mother. 16Your eyes saw me before I was put together.
And all the days of my life were written in Your book
before any of them came to be.
Your thoughts are of great worth to me, O God. How many
there are! 18If I could number them, there would be
more than the sand."
God
takes very special care of us.
He
is concerned with our well being and we valuable to
Him.
Matthew
6:30-32
"Wherefore,
if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day
is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not
much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Therefore
take no thought, saying, what shall we eat? Or, what
shall we drink? Or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
For
your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all
these things."
If you are born again of the Spirit you are privileged to be a part of
Gods family.
Enjoy
His wonderful blessings and honor Him as your Heavenly
Father.
